Ocean Safety Seminar
On October the 4th, HMSO hosted Servicemen/women and their families for an "Ocean Safety Seminar" led by renowned waterman, Brian Keaulana and the crew at C4 Waterman. The use of jet-ski assist, life-saving techniques, and general ocean knowledge was highly valuable to these folks as many of them are leaders in their own right and will wind up passing down what they learned to new troopers as they arrive on island. The event wasn't all work and for play, folks were able to try the rapidly growing sport of Stand Up Paddling (SUP) with Brian and his crew including watermen Todd Bradley and Dave Parmenter. Custom fitting to boards, paddles, and mentorship on etiquette was something that all levels of paddlers and new surfers can always benefit from.
